This summer, IMS Technologies is pleased to welcome Aslak. Myhre, a first-year master’s student in Cybernetics and Robotics at NTNU, to our team in Risør. With an academic foundation and genuine interest in automation, programming, and instrumentation, Aslak has quickly become a valuable contributor.
After hearing about IMS through friends and family, he applied for a summer internship and has already been involved in a range of technical tasks, from programming and testing to cybersecurity and documentation.
“I was given responsibility from day one. Working on both familiar and completely new topics has given me insight far beyond the classroom. I leave every day knowing more than when I arrived,” says Aslak.
At IMS Technologies, we are committed to developing future talent by providing meaningful, hands-on industry experience:
“We are very pleased to have students like Aslak on our team. He is currently supporting us by configuring technical equipment, performing system tests, and preparing technical documentation. This allows him to gain relevant experience while contributing directly to ongoing projects”, says Lars Aasbø Fosshaugen, Manager Software & Upgrade.
Internships are a key part of our strategy to invest in competence, support continuous learning, and secure future expertise within critical technology areas.
We look forward to following Aslak’s continued journey, and to welcoming more talented students in the future.
