The IMS doors are practical, safe and simplify both the movement of crew and passengers as well as heavy objects and equipment from one watertight compartment to another.

The correct working of watertight doors is essential to the vessel's survivability in case of water ingress.

IMS Watertight Doors and control system undergo rigorous testing and certification processes to meet international standards such as SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) and classification societies’ requirements. They are integral to both watertight, and fire safety strategy of the vessel, contributing to the protection of life and property.

IMS work frequently with the largest classification societies to maintain and develop the type approvals to meet market requirement and compliance with industry standards.

This IMS Watertight Sliding door is a hydraulically driven type, with hydraulic powerpack, accumulator and control valves located inside the door frame. The door blade is actuated by one cylinder. Fixed with the cylinder rod end at the door blade, and the cylinder end on the bulkhead.

IMS Watertight doors are fitted with a mechanical lock, preventing the door from opening without needing to pressurize the cylinders.

The door blade is actuated by two cylinders, one at the top and one at the bottom. Fixed with the cylinder ends at the door frame, and the rod ends at the door blade.

IMS Watertight doors are fitted with a mechanical lock, preventing the door from opening without needing to pressurize the cylinders.

This IMS Watertight Sliding door is an electrically driven type. The door blade is actuated by a rotating screw, driven by an electric motor. The electric motor is mounted with a bracket to the bulkhead.

IMS Watertight doors are fitted with a mechanical lock, preventing the door from opening unintentionally in case of malfunction.
